Mozzarella
It is served in desserts and in various salads. Caprese is one of the most popular salads.
CAPRESE
To prepare the salad, you need:
- 500g of tomatoes
- 200-250g of mozzarella cheese
- 100g of olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 bunch of basil
- salt, black pepper to taste.
- Slice the tomatoes 0,5 cm thick.
- Remove the brine, slice mozzarella 0,5 cm thick.
- Arrange the tomatoes on a serving platter, add salt, pepper, drizzle with vinegar.
- Arrange alternating slices of mozzarella and tomatoes.
- Wash and dry the basil. Chop up the basil, except for a few leafs. Sprinkle the platter with basil evenly.
- Drizzle with oil.
- Top the salad with basil leafs.
